SURVIVOR SCOUT PROGRAM

:: TROOP 382 SURVIVOR SCOUT:

The concept behind this course is not to just teach "Survival Skills"
but to teach how to prepare for an adventure into the deep
wilderness. No lesson is to be taken lightly. It is important to
understand that however in depth we may study aspects of
wilderness adventuring, ones knowledge is never complete an
ongoing practice and study of outdoor skills is a must.

THE RULES ARE SIMPLE  

First off, aside from fishing, there will be no harming of any animal
in the course of studying these survival skills.

Second, destruction of trees or plant life is prohibited. In a true
survival situation the cutting of live trees may be necessary but not
in a practice enviroment.

CLASSES

Skill lessons will be a combination of lecture, practice labs and Internet
study.
