CAMPING GEAR
SEGRAGATE THE LIST BY AREAS OF THE BODY
We'll start with a basic list of required items and then add or subtract items depending on
seasonal needs. Think of our seasons just as summer and winter. Its either hot or its cold.
HEAD - One will always need some kind of head protection.
A ball cap or a wide brimmed hat is necessary to
protect eyes and or kneck from the sun. In addition
hooded coats or sweat shirts are a must.
SUMMER
1 - BALL CAP OR WIDE
    BRIMMED HAT.
1 - PAIR OF SUNGLASSES

WINTER
ADD - KNIT CAP OR
WINTER HAT
TORSO - One can always use a couple T-Shirts underneath
a hooded sweat shirt. Layering you clothing makes it
easier to regulate body temperature. Add a jacket or
coat as temps get lower. However a
RAIN COAT is a
must.  A rain suit is prefered over a poncho. We don't
care for hanging ponchos around camp fires.
SUMMER
2- T-Shirts
1- Hooded sweat shirt
1- medium weight jacket
1 -rain jacket

WINTER
ADD
- Winter coat w/ hood
1- extra T-shirt
1- sweat shirt
LEGS - Of course the one thing not needed in the winter
is a necessity in the summer, and thats shorts. On
a weekend campout generally a scout wont be
changing his clothing unless it gets wet or muddy.
(just being honest) Therefore two pairs of anything will
usually due. For sleeping however its always good
to bring a pair of sweat pants.
Some like to use jump
suits like carharts for cold weather camping.
That
works fine until they get soaking wet. Be prepared
with backup clothing if this is the case.
SUMMER
2-Pair of shorts
2-Pair underwear
1-Par long pants
1-Pair sweat pants
1-Pair rain pants

WINTER
ADD - 1 Pair long pants
1- Pair Snow pants
1- Long underwear
FEET & HANDS - One cannot have enough socks. Wool
blend is preferred in most cases. In the  summer one
can get away with some cotton if they are not
hiking too much.
In some respects hands are similar. One needs
a pair of working boots and gloves and one pair or
lighter boots and gloves. Changing to lighter foot
wear while in camp is always a good thing, unless of
course its extremely snowy or muddy. Having a pair
of work gloves and a pair of warm gloves is suggested
as well.
SUMMER
1 - Pair hiking boots
1 - Tennis shoes
1 - Pair work gloves
4- Pair socks

WINTER
ADD
2 - Pair socks (6-total)
1 - Pair winter gloves

Replace Tennis shoes with
winter boots
