The Key to building your clothing list for the canoe list is to think layering as
needed. In other words you add or remove layers as weather conditions change.
EXAMPLE:
A litttle more drop in
temp add a rain coat.
Dont think of rain
gear as just for wet
weather. It can also
be used for warmth
For paddling
in th nice
warm sun, a
T-shirt will do.
Should the wind
pick up and the
temp drops a bit,
add a sweater or
fleece
Bring 2 T-Shirts
Bring 1 sweater or Fleece
1 Rain Suit
SLEEPING WEAR
BACKUP
1 - T-Shirt
1 Sweat Shirt
For bedtime a T-Shirt may be enough, however if the temp drops a bit have a sweat
shirt on hand for extra warmth. It can be a good idea to have a set of light weight
insulating underwear for extra heat. Try to keep your sleep wear together in a
separate package to make it easy to find.
